Nickolay Markov, MD

Dr. Nickolay Markov received a Bachelor of Science from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, and graduated from medical school at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He completed his residency in general surgery at Brooke Army Medical Center, plastic surgery fellowship at Dartmouth College, and microsurgery fellowship at Yale University.

As a double board-certified general surgeon and plastic surgeon, Dr. Markov is passionate about cancer care reconstruction, including the full scope of implant-based and autologous options with a focus on free flap microsurgical tissue transfer, body contouring procedures, and cosmetic surgery.

Microsurgery is a highly specialized surgical procedure that utilizes a microscope to move tissue from one area of the body to another and connect each part of the tissue, nerves, and blood vessels to restore function.
